"Foreign hand" blamed for India's debacle!

Ajit Wadekar, manager of the Indian side at Sharjah, was quick
to borrow a page from his countries politicians and blame
India's defeat at the hands of arch-rival Pakistan "as part
of a foreign *** to destabalise India." " We have concrete
evidence which shows that foreign nationals were involved in
orchestrating this ***." said the shaken manager of the
Indian side. When pressed by reporters, especially Kapil Dev of the
Jat Times to be more specific, Wadekar retorted," It was brought
to our attention  that at lunch-time the meals of Basit Ali and
Saed Anwar were spiked with freshly baked Hashish cookies made
in Nuristan." " How else can one explain their batting performance
against the might of the Indian bowling attack!" continued Mr.
Wadekar.

Cricket experts have long argued that if India, a nation of nine
hundred million people, wants to produce a genuine pace bowler
they would have to make changes in their diet which at present
consists of lentils boiled in not-so-pure water and  baked
bread. When Javed Miandad of The Mohajir Mastana asked " How do
you rate Bhupinder's performance?" Mr. Wadekar fired back," A
meat eater chicked out!"
