I think Hayden is absolutely correct, even if he might have been trying to
play mind games with the Indians.  Sehwag, Ganguly, SRT, Yuvraj, and Agarkar
certainly seem scared of fast bowling.  They are like the "cats on a hot tin
roof", as Navjot Sidhu would say.

I don't know whether or not the same applies to Dravid and Laxman.

I dont agree...just one match, doesnt mean anything... The counter
agreement I have is Indians made 700 in sydney test match against the
same attack..

Onemore thing, I dont think SRT is scared...if you have seen the way
he got bowled, itclearlysays he is rustic...He is not just getting the
line right after his injury...that doesntmean he is scared...and I
dont think sehwag is anytime scaredof anyone... This is nothing
compared to the way Shane Bond andTuffey  were bowling against India
in2002 series...the ball was like a cannon shooting outof the
pitch..here it is nothing like this...at best, one could say that
Indians have someproblem with bounce...

It's not a question of one match.  Haven't you noticed how frequently the
Indians get hit on their helmets?  How often do the Aussies get hit on their
helmets by the Indian medium-pacers?

He may not be scared but to me he appears a bit scared when he is defending,
and not attacking, against genuine pace.

Again, he is not scared of playing his shots but he does seem to be scared
(or rattled) by genuine pace an bounce.  It's probably true of most batsmen
but some have more experience than others.

The Indians seemed very uncomfortable against Bond and Tuffey.

the short pitched tactics wouldn't have worked in the tests. india
simply ducked those balls, wasting gillespie and lee's energy. of
course dravid played that memorable hook shot of gillespie to bring up
his maiden test century.

                                btw anypne notice how differenet
indian and aussie batting styles are.
