Looks like tickets for both Lord's Tests (against SL and India) have
already sold out. However they don't usually sell tickets for the fifth
day in advance - presumably because there's too much risk of the match
finishing in four days. So if you turn up at the ground on day 5 you
might well get in.

released later on after they go through all the sales.  So look again
every few days or so.

Trent Bridge is pretty much only singles -- I'm having difficulty
getting 2 or 3 tickets seated together on any of the days...

good lord...u gotta be kidding me...it never even occurred to me that
it would be sold out this early.  My 95% chance of going to Lords is
now down to 5% i.e. you get sick and I get to take your ticket :-)

You do give me some additional hope for tickets released later...I
will keep an eye...sigh

Remember that the English Test grounds only hold between 20,000 and
30,000. But the sell-outs are good news for the English game, as ticket
sales last year for the Tests against Pakistan were very disappointing.

There will very likely be singles available for purchase in the next
several weeks.  You may even get singles the day of the Test.
However, most people go in groups of 2 or more, which is what makes it
hard

Will call the Trent Bridge ticket office this am, and see if I can get
2 or 3 tickets in the same row -- we should (hopefully) be able to
convince some chaps to slide over.  A can or two of beer should
typically suffice.

It would take some virulent combination of the bubonic plague,
leprosy, and malaria for me to miss this Test.  I have been looking
forward to this since 2007 -- my parting words to Mike at Lords' were
"see you in 4 years" and when I reminded him about a year ago (no need
to -- the good man, had already got me down for some seats). Something
I intend to keep doing as long for a while, as long as Mike will put
up with me..

Talk about being paranoid -- I booked my air tickets in November, but
may change them depending on what happens with the Trent Bridge ticket
office.

Not to rub it in, but this should be a *great* series!

Bharat [marking off the calendar until 330 days prior to the end of
the Sydney Test]

If I were to decide not to put up with you, I have every suspicion
Jane would oblige you anyway.

Cheers,
