I just saw an ad on TV Asia for NZ vs India test starting tonight! Does this
mean they will also show Pak and Ind test against Aus? I thought Kelly
Broadcasting has the right for all test games.

Hmmm, it's not on the guide. Also, there is no mention about this on the
Kelly site.

Does anyone know if this coverage will have English commentary?

Does TVAsia make programming announcements in English?

I would consider subscribing to TVAsia, just for the cricket, but it
wouldn't be much use to me if it's not in English (languages were never my
strong point).

ahhh!!

The batsman cuts the ball towards point, the feilder there dives, stops
the ball and throws it directly to the stumps... our man says this :

"aur ye cut kiyaa hai point kI taraf lekin dive karke stop kiyaa aur
ye direct throw stumps par".

And he calls it Hindi commentary too!

Sample Shri Doshi:

"Agli gend. Yeh gend tappa khane ke baad ruki aur ballebaaz ki or dhire se
badi..."

The ball bounced on the pitch, stopped and then proceeded slowly towards the
batsman.
Only Shri Doshi can flout laws of physics.

-Ram..[ Actually, I kinda miss it]

Can someone verify that TV ASIA is showing the 2nd Ind-NZ Test ?
If this is true, I will subscribe to it.  This is even a better deal
than $50 a month for TEST channel.

Thanks.

I've had this same question outstanding since midnight last night and nobody
has answered. I was ready to call DISH last night to turn it on; I just need
confirmation first. So, either it's an evil scam, or everyone's too busy
enjoying the cricket to check this NG.

EVERYONE  -- Here is the email sent by Anil, Director of Cricket at KBS
to confirm that this is NOT an "evil scam".

Anil is working hard to make a go of cricket on Dish - he deserves our
thanks for getting TV Asia to pick up the game.  So, if you have not

and ask them for Test Cricket.

And NO whining about having to pay for it - the  more $$$ they can make
off the broadcasts, the more cricket we can see - they are NOT a
charity. However, they also need to price it reasonably, because they
won't get too many buys at high prices (so keep it under $20/game, Anil
- the $24.95 thing is too much!).

Yes, TV Asia is showing the 2nd Test match and I saw it.

Also, If you are a new subscriber, do us a favor: Try subscribing  though TV

interest in their channel is Test Cricket.

By the way I called KBS and they said they are still trying with Dish and if
that does not go through TV Asia may provide coverage for the test matches
during the year.

Please note they are only showing second test match. So, do not
be trapped if you are expecting all the test matches.

I think we should do two more things in addition to continous and non-stop

1. Ask for Test Cricket channel in Request a channel. They say:"EchoStar is
always interested in what channels our customers want to see added to our

http://www.dishnetwork.com/programming/request.htm

2. Convey our interest in Cricket to Charlie (Live or by e-mail) -
http://www.dishnetwork.com/cchat/charliechat.htm

3. Tell our friends to do the same.
