That sounds good to me. I like watching Jayasuryia in full flow too.

I also feel robbed by the lack of cricket on the television. I live in
England and don't have sky sports, so I will have to wait for the tests
next summer until I can get some good cricket viewing in.

I have also just ranted in the uk.sport.cricket NG. About baseball being
shown on late night tv, I hate baseball and I suppose most other cricket
fans don't think much of it either. Why can't they re-run some cricket
from overseas, loads more people will watch it .It will also be good for
kids to keep their interest in the sport during the winter.

England is a cricket country, so why have inferior sports on when there
is tons of cricket going on around the world.

What is wrong with Baseball?  It can be quite an exciting sport and a lost
of past Australian cricketers used to play (Ian Chappell played for SA in
the Claxton Shield IIRC) baseball and it develops good accurate throwing
arms.

Go Yankees

Try watching the baseball (I assume they are showing the World Series
Yankees v Mets) the games have been very good to watch.

Presumably you hate it because you don't know anything about it. I
certainly stayed up on Saturday and Sunday nights to watch games 1 and 2
in the World Series.

Leaving aside the question of whether we should be having wall-to-wall
coverage of soccer, which really *is* an inferior sport, the reason is a
simple one. Gits like you won't pay to watch it.

As you say, there is tons of cricket going on around the world, and you
can see a fair proportion of it here in England, but only if you're
prepared to pay the price of admission to the people who hold the rights
to it. Murdoch and his minions have worked out that there are sufficient
people willing to pay to see televised cricket from around the world to
make buying up overseas rights a worthwhile proposition, so you have to
pay Murdoch if you want to watch cricket.

Your complaint is that you're a cheapskate. And you're the only one who
can do anything about it.

Cheers,

Mike

I know enough about it and I won't be wanting next season to com along in a
hurry.

Wall to wall football ( not soccer you americanised tw*t ), football is the
worlds greatest game closely followed cricket. It may be wall to wall if you
own a sky digi box but on normal tv I am very happy to watch the 4 games per
week, that I am supplied with for my cheapskate 100 pounds per year. If they
can have high profile football on the tv like arsenal and man u in the
champions league, why can't they have a least a few cricket matches on for
the stingy, tight wad licensed viewer. I am sorry that you and murdoch think
I am a git just because I can't afford his premium channel's. By the way
these channels are poor value for money, judging by the amount of total ***
they manage to fill 3 channels with. I suppose this is why murdoch is holding
do tight to his cricket investment, 8 hours per day of quality live sport,
that can last 5 days at a time. That is something to save us from wall to
wall grecco roman wrestling.

Don't think I will. I will find out about the games on the internet until,
the test next summer. I hope sky haven't bought up this summers tests or I
may stop paying my cheapy 100 license as well. I will listen to it on the
radio if this is the case.

Your complaint is that you are a fool, who pobably couldn't stand it if
people with just terrestrial tv could watch cricket for their license fee
even if it was Zimbabwe vs. Sri Lanka. You might think I am a fool because I
would rather be watching teams like Bangladesh play Zimbabwe for free on my
telly when,  I could watch a game of chucking and slogging ( pretty bad
slogging as well didn't see one ball out of the park in about 5 hours viewing
), at the yankee stadium.
