So, Pakistan beat India today in the last round match of the
tournament. It was a close match and has set the stage for what should
be, as usual, a thrilling and fitting finale to a tournament that, in
my view, has become the most exciting tournament after the World Cup.
Looking ahead to Friday's match, will India continue their brilliant
performance in the tournament so far or will history repeat
itself......

Does anyone remember any details of the match between India and Pakistan
which was played in Sharjah quite sometime back?

India were all down for some 120 odd runs and Pak was all poised to win.
But Pak was bundled out in some 80 odd runs and India won the tournament.

So even if Pakis have got even, history can repeat iself....(not always
in the form of Miandad's sixer.....)

This was just after the WSC 1985 tournament. Imran took 6-14 (?), and India
seemed to be on the verge of disaster. But, when India bowled, Sunny Gavaskar
took 4 catches in first slip(two of them were simply out of this world),
and Pakistan were bowled out for 87. Simply amazing!
