As an Aussie I also like listening to him, he's always very fair, gives
credit where credit is due, knows what he's talking about, doesn't talk ***
or babble on, and doesn't let business get in the way of the odd good
humored joke. He's a good bloke and good commentator

as long as this year he doesn't borrow Max Walkers walkmon and max takes
over the comm. box at the SCG, Richie will be happy if it doesn't happen
again.

"Lara should be looking to run-out Ponting"

- Holding, commenting on Ponting's rich reign of form and the upcoming
VB series.

And if he could go past a Ladbroke's the way he goes past stumps he'd be a
very rich man.

Holding lost me on the last WI tour of Aust. when he whined
incessantly about the umpiring.

Sure you are talking about Michael Holding?

Nup you clearly have him mixed up with someone else.

He may be a good bloke but he isn't a good commentator.

he makes Bill Lawry seem unbiased by comparison.

Usually he is the lone voice for the WI (vs 4 or 5 for the home country
ex. Aus or Eng). He has to put forward the case for WI, especially in
Aus where Greig and Lawry and even Benaud can be very condescending and
most of them rather biased.
