Game abandoned without a ball being bowled.

The New Zealand team & many kiwis very relieved at this I suspect.
Who saw the pitch on tv?

Maybe we should hire some US engineers & build indoor stadiums very
quickly! :)

It *never* rains in western India in November.

Some friends of mine barely escaped the Everest avalanches brought on by
huge unseasonal snowstorms ten days ago.

There was a cyclone in the Bay of Bengal three weeks ago.

What's going on in the subcontinent?  Anyone know of a cricket astrologer
we can hire for the World Cup?

Reports have it that New Zealand were keen to get out
on to the pitch to play. It was the Indian team which
was reluctant.

Goodness knows how the Indian Cricket Authorities are
going to hold up their end of the World Cup? What with
the fiasco of the weather, travel arrangements, state
of the pitches, inadequate facilities to get games
started after delays by rain, etc, etc, which the two
teams have had to put up with during the current tour.

The report I heard from Wadds was that both teams were relieved as
they beieved the pitch was a dog.

Couldnt agree more. Wadds referred to their bus trip to Poona as the
bus trip from hell. Mind you, he should know by now that most Indian
bus trips come into this category. He might like to try using a public
bus in India some time :)
Anyway, both teams are in place & I'm praying hard it wont rain.
