Sri Lanka v Pakistan Test 2 Final Score (Sri Lanka Won)

]> Pakistan v Sri Lanka, TEST 2
]> Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 September 1995
]>
]> Toss: Pakistan
]> Sri Lanka won by 42 runs.

Excellent performance.   This performance  should convince most people
of three things:

1) Aravinda De Silva is a world class batsman;
2) Sri Lanka has improved by leaps and bounds over the past few years;
   and
3) Muralitharan is a better bowler than Warne :-))  <----------
   (After all he and SL did what Warne and Aus. failed to do last year)

That is incorrect. Reports say Ranatunga edged the ball onto his stumps.

   Agreed! Hashan   is equally  important  to SL  as  is  Aravinda.  I
   mentioned Aravinda specifically simply because  he was under double
   pressure  of having to   bat in  the   second innings with a  first
   innings duck, and with half the SL batsmen already gone back to the
   pavilion with not much on the board.

   Hashan,  of course, gave credibiliity to  the SL score in the first
   innings when Akram was bowling.

   If you insist :-) I felt the same, but didn't want  to sound like a
   cry baby and goof up like Brendon Jones did  when the WI defeat Aus
   in their  last series :-) Thanks for  echoing  my exact thoughts on
   the net...

]> SL has always been capable of these 'flashes  in the pan'. Let them

   With W&W it  would be an ideal  opportunity for them.  However as I
   write,  SL have finished the first  day at  217/7 thanks mainly the
   unbroken partnership between Dharmasena (52) and Vaas (16).

   And  to  top it all, he  was  clean bowled  by,  whom Boycott would
   describe as a lollipop bowler, Aamir Sohail :-)

   However,  Dharmasena  is doing  a good  batting  job  for SL  as is

Well, edging the ball on to the stumps is still out 'bowled' on the
score card. However 'clean bowled' might not be accurate. Any pundits
on cricket semantics?
