Does anybody knows which two teams (except Australia) are contesting in the
Benson & Hedges triangular cup this year (1993-94) and when does it starts?

Thanks in advance.

SA and NZ i believe, however I dont know when it will be held, the
exact dates i mean.  However as usual the first round could be held
around the first week of December with the next round around mid
January completing the prelims and the top 2 competing in a best of
3-finals.  This summer Australia and SA are going to complete a back-
to-back series of 3 tests each with lots of ODs put up in between.
Come to think of it SA are going to be in action right from August
till the end of February-March with the SL series, the 6-nation
OD tourney in India, the back-to-back series with Australia.  With
the India-Pakistan series too at home and away, welcome to the season
of back-to-back series.  Certainly been a long time before such a thing
happened.

Groan! Dont tell me there is going to be another one of those tourneys this
year too! All these tourneys are killing cricket. Cricket is at it's best when
taken in small doses. Those idiots in India hold 50 one-day internationals
every year and then crib that people dont go to watch test matches. Besides,
it converts good cricketers to mediocre ones faster than you can imagine. I
think one-day cricket has a lot to do with the death of genuine fast bowling.
If this *** trend doesn't stop, cricket will soon turn into a dumb game
played by the calculator, dominated by average batsmen who can paddle their
way to 30s and 40s but cant play long steady inningses against quality bowling
and medium-paced trundlers who get wickets just because batsmen make mistakes.
I hope I dont live to see the day!

That's right. New Zealand play three tests (Perth 12 Nov, Hobart 26 Nov
and Brisbane 3 dec). SAfr arrive late November and play the PM's XI then
WSC matches are
A v Afr 9.12.93 14.12.93 9.1.94 16.1.94
A v NZ  12.12.93 16.12.93 11.1.94 19.1.94
NZ v SAfr 11.12.93 18.12.93 8.1.94 14.1.94

Finals are 21.1.94 23.1.94 25.1.94

South Africa play two test between the two one day block and then the third
after the final. Then we all***off to South Africa and play another
8 of those goddam awful one day thingis that they pass of for cricket.
I'll post a full program in a couple of minutes.
