To lose 2 in a row is enough. How do we punish these people ? Well they should have 2 kilo's of *** planted on them and their
plane diverted to Malaysia but before that Prime Minister Howard should make some statement about how mental the PM of Malaysia is.

Now to pick a new team  .........

10 years back Aussie PM Paul Keating had used the word 'recalcitrant' for
Malayian PM Dr. Mahathir Mohammed .... It was a major diplomatic row that
time !

The funny thing was, after making much political mileage out of that,
his successor John Howard found Mahathir just as difficult (if not,
worse) to deal with ;-).

Hey, stop getting this thread of track.

Its about punishment and serious punishment at that

You need to do a Shripathi for that. Alternatively, post some links to
websites depicting photos of the sort of punishment you have in mind. Then
we'll look at your 'serious punishment' seriously.

I'd advocate forcing each of the Australian batsmen to gift their wickets to
Grant Bradburn and Ian Salisbury for very few runs. This should pull down
their first-class averages significantly. Then, after they've done this,
pull out tapes of them conspiring to fix matches. (Select pics of Gilchrist
and Bichel in compromising positions, leaked to the Sun, won't hurt either.)
Following the match-fixing allegations, have them all suspended from
Australian first-class Cricket and force them to play for Durham.

That should teach them to lose to West Indies.

guilty about it afterwards, BTW.] Basrur

Aus is fast going the Sachin Tendulkar way. Meaning,
if Sachin scores a hundred nowadays the response
is "yeah thats expected of him". Similarly, if
Aus win a series, the response is same. If Sachin
fails, the response is "he became so and so's bunny".
Ditto for Aus as seen after their loss in the dead
*** test. People want to take every mileage of
publicity in Sachin and Australia's failures.

ps: can anything be more ridiculuous than Gray implying
that Aus should not win this much for the global development
of the game?

punishment is LOSE 3 in a row to lowly-ranked WI

and match/tour ends like this:

43.1 Lehmann to Lara, SIX, what a shot! flighted delivery outside the
off stump, Lara comes down the track and hits it over the cover
        fence, glorious
43.2 Lehmann to Lara, SIX, and again! flighted delivery outside the off
stump, again Lara comes down the track and this time it is lofted
to over the long on fence
43.3 Lehmann to Lara, SIX, it's all over! flighted delivery outside the
off stump, Lara comes down the track and lofts it over the long
off fence, three consecutive sixes from the prince, it's party
        time in the stands

Well they should have 2 kilo's of *** planted on them and their

Well, sarcasm aside, that really is winning a match in style.

Cheers,

Mike

Nothing ridiculous about it. As the head honcho of Cricket Inc. he
should be worried about the popularity of the game and one-sided
contests certainly don't help in that respect. But did he really say
that?

ok, got it. Haven't seen it reported here, so here goes the link:
http://www.news24.com/News24/Sport/Cricket/0,,2-9-839_1367286,00.html

Interesting comments. "Gray said the one-sided nature of many cricket
matches was undermining public interest in the game."
