Mr Lillie was always a great entertainer ! I once saw him in a tour match
at Taunton receive some stick bowling off his short run, so he grtadually added
to his runup progressively bowling faster and shorter. When the crowd started
to "wind him up" about this he walked to the edge of the pitch opened the gate
continued up the steps into the old pavillion and started his run from there.
