Bowlers who averaged 5 wkts per test

The following bowlers achieved the rare distinction of averaging 5 wkts or better per test match.

Bowler              Tests                 Wkts              Wkts/test

S. Barnes (Eng)       27                   189               7.00
T. Richardson (Eng)   14                    88               6.28
C.T.B.Turner (Aus)    17                   101               5.94
C. Grimmett (Aus)     37                   216               5.83
W.J.O'Reilly (Aus)    27                   144               5.33
F. Spofforth (Aus)    18                    94               5.22
D.K.Lillie (Aus)      70                   355               5.07
Sir R.J.Hadlee (NZ)   86                   431               5.01

I have omitted Lohmann (Eng) because I do not recall his figures. Lohmann
holds the record for taking 100 wkts in the fewest number of tests (12, I
think). Also excluded from the list are bowlers who played less than 10 tests.

considering what waqar did today crushing South Africa with an incredible
bowling performance, he should not be forgotten on this list :-)
after all at present he has 102 wkts in 20 tests, avg 5.10 and this
figure is always increasing.
