So Kenny Rutherford spat the dummy.  What a shame. :)

By the way, I know the match referee (peter Burge) cos I throw newspapers
to his house here in Brisbane.

Bring back Jeff Crowe!

See ya.

Yes, but he did it in the dressing room and the umpires overheard due to the
close proximity of the two dressing rooms. What went on in the dressing room
should not have been taken into account when he was disciplined.
P.S. anybody know who recalled Fleming?

i only saw it on irc and radio new zealand, but i was told kenny
mouthed off at lambson (the ump from south africa) in full view of the
tv camera's. Anybody with a limited knowledge of english could figure
out what he thought of lambson's mom...

again, my source is radio new zealand: fleming was recalled by lambson

This England A team seems to have the right stuff after all. I thought
this team too would be like the senior team loosing all their matches and
blaming everything else except themselves. The team they beat had some
talented youngsters most of whom would make the Indian team in a few years
and a win shows that this England A team is pretty strong and certainly
stronger that the English team that toured Inida last.

The next opposition they face are going to be slightly stronger. But talent
wise the India Youth XI had more on display than the Presidents team they
are about to face. The India President's team has two players both bowlers
who the English will have to look out for. One is Sairaj Bahatule whose
performances now surely rate an Indian tam slot, the other is Abhey
Kurruvilla a fast medium bowler who took 5 wickets in an innings against the
touring WI side. Lets see how how this new England side copes with them.
Both are certain Indian material , so if any of you want to RSC's want to
look out for new talent , look out for these two.

Tim,

Should you not be thinking along the lines of having a pair of "spin
twins". The last time England had the opportunity to "manage" the
opposition in a test match was with Embury and Edmonds. It's about
time we had the ability to play two spinners in a test series. If,
as you say, Salisbury has improved his control and variation it's a
bonus to England but I would certainly not drop the best spinner we
have. Tufnell is a match winner. Don't you think his fielding has
improved dramatically? The Aussies are picking on Gatting and
Gouch now ;-).
