Sorry, this one is fairly well known, but I had some people asking who was in it
so I thought I would reiterate.

The cutest XI

THE eleven players to watch (in every sense of the word) in the world right now are:

Reiffel (suprise, suprise), Lara,
Murray, Bevan, Kambli, Kuluwitharana, Rhodes, Walsh, Hooper, Ijaz, Dravid.  (Twelth man:
Ponting)

And, just to prove my point about how cuteness help performance, I think this team would
do pretty damn well.  In fact, I think you would have a bit of a problem finding another
team to beat this team, in one dayers at least.

Walsh would captain.

Sorry, Des, you didn't make it.   But it was a close thing.  If you had been playing for
your country at international level....

So you're saying that New Zealand players can't even get into
"non-ability related" teams?

Actually, I expected that.

And, Dianne, may I ask who would be the bowlers apart from Walsh, Hooper
and Reiffel (isn't he the bowler for Australia) :-)?

Zoe Goss has to be in there somewhere!

the non cute XI however is looking good.

McGrath, Ambrose, Akram, Younis, Warne, Healy, Campbell, Tendulkar, Steve
Waugh, Aamir Sohail, Shivnarine Chanderpaul (who I thought you quite liked?)

pick the 12th man out of the bowlers.

Yes, but Erica?  Who would they replace??  I don't think Sohail is cute anyway.

I don't know about you people, but most of the girls back in India
seem to regard Akram as the cutest player in history. They even came to
see the match only when Akram was around! So it's a bit unfair to the guy
to put him in the non cute XI.

Tchah!!!  You want me to have an XI without Reiffel in it?  In your dreams.  And,
according to lots of girls I was playing against on the weekend, Bevan is the cutest
thing in the world.  I argued with them on this, citing Junior Murray, but there you
go

Well, for YOUR cutest XI, perhaps.  She just doesn't do anything for me.

I do quite like.  I think you are rather harsh on a couple here.  McGrath
isn't
UNcute.  Just not cute (unless you ask my boss).  Neither is Akram.  If
it wasn't he has such yucky skin, he would be cute, in fact!  And Ijaz,
jnr ought to be there.
It isn't that he is ugly, or anything, but the contrast from Ijaz snr is
just too
great.  :)

Well, Kambli and Bevan can both bowl.  It's not my fault bowlers aren't as cute.

This is my first attempt to reply, so it may not get through!

I may be biased, but I would be happy to have XI
of Courtney Walsh in my world XI! Not practical or
possible, but he is my heart-throb!

It is also not their fault for not being in your cute list. BTW what about
Ankola and Jadeja?

Hey Dianne, I think u need a lesson in who is cute and who is not, me thinks :-)

I think Tendulkar is  one Big "Cutie Boy" from India. and u put him  in the non-cute XI. I would have
sparred u from my post:-) if u had at least omitted him in the non-cute XI apart from of course
ur omitting him in the cute XI.

How about Shane Lee too in the cutie XI.And what about Shaun Pollock. There u got a bowler
for the cute XI.Even Adam Parore fits in. Not to forget Shane Thompson and Dominic cork.

I think now u have got quite a good Bowling Side.

As far as the non-cute XI is concerend, I've got only one comment: Ricky Ponting deserves a place
in it.
