Trivia - Ex-Captains played under other Test captains

Sub-continental teams are notorious to let some of their former
captains to play under new captains.  At one point, I thought, India
had 4 or 5 ex-captains to play in a Test team (Shastri, Vengsarkar,
Kapil Dev, Srikkanth... under Azharuddin?)

Can I find:

1. a list of ex-captains played in Tests under other captains, and
2. a list of teams with multiple ex-captains?

It would be nice if acting captain responsibilities could be
distinguished (example: Gilchrist took captaincy role in a few Tests
and he plays under Ponting now)

Vicky:
[Would Ponting find himself playing under Warne soon?]

I wonder how many Tests England have played without a former captain
in the side. There won't be many.

As far as I can see, the last time was Edgbaston 1990 against New
Zealand, when Gooch led out ten other people who hadn't been captain
yet (although lots of them were later). Since 1977, it hasn't happened
more than ten times in all.

Cheers,

Mike
