Lords Ashes test tickets wanted

Post by Wilfred M. Wals » Wed, 23 Apr 1997 04:00:00

I'm trying to buy ticket(s) to the second test Ashes test match at
Lords, June 19-24. If anyone has one or more tickets to any or all days,
please email me!

Thanks,

Wilfred Walsh

ps re the worst commentators thread: generally TV commentary is awful
but the smug, self-satisfied, banal, repetitive, unimaginative,
partisan, result-oriented ***that come sout of Channel 9 in Australia
would have to be among the worst. And although the camera work is
brilliant on 9, they had to be shown by Channel 10 what a good idea a
higher frame rate was. The only solution, in Australia, is to turn down
the sound and listen to Neville Olliver on 2BL.

I agree with the sentiments, but 2BL doesn't make it across state
boundaries :-)

I would also question Neville Olliver (sp) - nowhere near the top of
my list of radio commentators in Aus.

Cheers...JD
