Lord's is Lord's

Lord's is Lord's

It's a delight to watch the cricket today from Lord's. It's a bright and sunny day with clouds occasionally passing by and conditions are just about perfect for Test match cricket from what I see on the telly. There is a buzz around the ground, with no mad cheering and hooting as the the home team passes the various landmarks in the normal course of its innings- just pleasant clapping. The ambience is so diametrical from last fortnight's Natwest Series final that Lord's seems all the more surreal.

Navjot Singh Sidhu was the typical aggressive and fiery Punjabi and strongly expressed his disapproval at the the unruffled way of the Lord's crowd. Alright, it's his opinion but he fails to understand that Lord's is Lord's and can never be an Indian ground.
