Chance of playing again for New Zealand - slim to none.  The Canterbury
match was the first of the season and he hasn't done much since then -
certainly not enough to erase the memory of his failures.  He was in
blazing form last year (four centuries in six innings I think) but has
faded from view.

If New Zealand were to introduce another batsman it would probably be a
younger player with more long-term potential (I nominate McMillan but
despite three centuries in five innings seems to be in a selectorial
blind-spot at the moment).
