Observations:

* Although Dravid does not have the worst batting average, his batting
differential between  captain and as a player is the highest.
Captaincy probably has hampered his performance the most compared
others. India as a team under his captaincy have a 7-6 (W-L) record..
If either India starts to have a loosing record or his batting
performance continues to fall, it would be of a concern.

* Although Ganguly had the worst average as a captain, under his
captaincy India was having pretty high winning percentage 21 - 13. If
and only if Ganguly had managed to play as good as he is playing now
after his resurrection India could have been pretty good winning team.

* Captaincy had the least affect on Gavaskar's  batting performance.
But his winning percentage  as a captain (9-8) was no where close to
Ganguly..

* I do not have time to dig into other Indian and non Indian captains.
It would be interesting to find out all those players who performed
better as a captain than as a non-captain..
