Mumbai, Feb. 17 (PTI) - The South African cricket team,
led by Hansie Cronje, arrived here late last night,
hoping to vanquish India in their own backyard for the

The 14-strong team has a four-pronged pace battery led by
"white lightning" Allan Donald, besides two left-arm

has replaced the injured, unorthodox bowler Paul Adams.
All-rounder and vice-captain Shaun Pollock, who did not

1996-97, is another member of the pace quartet completed
by Lance Klusener and Mornantau Hayward.
The squad will play a three-day tour opener at the
Brabourne Stadium here against the Ajay Jadeja-led
Cricket Board President's XI before plunging into the
two-test series to be played at the ***hede Stadium here
(February 24-28) and the Chinnaswamy Stadium at Bangalore
(March 2-6).
