How could you go that bad, aganist a team with the worlds most
defensive and terrible captain?

Captains are judged by their win-loss record.  Going by that he's done
pretty well.

His field placings may not be that exciting and I agree they're often over
defensive, but I think he uses his bowlers very well.  Whenever he turns to
Donald or Pollock for a wicket, he seems to choose the right one, and they
seem to be rested, ready and motivated enough.

I wouldn't rate him as a great captain, but compared to Allan Border he is
Mr exciting.

wisden, every media report or book you read about past captains.

They do at the time, but in history you are judged by your record in my
experience.  What problems do SA have with team unity?  They seem to be one of
the best units about under Cronje.

When AB took over he did'nt have the players Hansie has.  It took alot of
losses to make AB the captain he was.  What's Hansie's excuse?

I agree 100% but I feel that with a more attacking captain SA might have had
a better chance.

He's had how many series against Australia and hasn't won one?

Captains can be judged on several things.
Going to England with Donald and Pollock and losing a series because you won't
declare in time to knock the opposition over is a worry.

Must be tough when you have 2 bowlers like that....

AB didn't exactly have the firepower of Pollock, Haywood, Donald did he?
