India wins the toss and elects to bat. As usual, Tendulkar gives
the charge to Mambrey while Prasad manages to contain him somewhat;
Utpal replaces Mambrey in the 4th over; Prabakar gives him the
charge and holes out to Bahutule trying to repeat his 6 earliear;
Kambli enters the scene and the pair play some delightful strokes;
the bowlers have no answer until Bahutule is brought into the
attack; off his first bowl Sachin tries to hit him out of the
ground but manages only to find Dravid at long on; he it seems
had underestimated Sairaj's ability; Kambli continues his
aggression until a seemingly wide bowl fron Sairaj turns a couple of
yards to castle his stumps; from then on it was Sairaj against
the batsmen and he manages to take the wickets of Azar and Jadeja;
India score 225 thanks mainly to the early aggression of Sachin and
Kambli;
India A comes to bat with a possible chance of a upset; Rathore
starts well as usual and plays some beautiful strokes; this fires up
Srinath and he removes Rathore and Dravid of successive balls; from
then on the match was effectively sealed; the A batsmen had lost
confidence; Robin scored 29; Chauhan and Chaterjee batted mainly
for personal glory never really taking a chance
Possible inclusions for the Asia Cup : Ankola, Rathore and Bahutule/
Kulkarni. Only Raju and Kapoor are questionable for Sharjah trip.
