Apparently he is the hot tip for the job.  Bit of a surprise, but I
suppose he would do a good job considering what he has done for the
Warriors.

Funny innit? In Qld John Buchanan is the hot tip. The QCA has already
held discussions with Big Carl to replace him.

Hmm,  You would think with the results of the last two shields on the
board it would be hard to choose JB over WC and Western Australia's
shield team is really only about 10% better than QLDs IMO.

I don't know - Two Shield Victories and two MM championships since 95 isn't
something to sneeze about.

As an aside - apparantly SWaugh is reported as being a supporter of Buchanan
to get the Aus coaching position - which would have to count somewhat in his
favour.

The crowd took a few steps back.  Oats was clearly
a dangerous man to be around.
"Would you go out alone on a night like this?" he
said.
The voice at the back said '"Depends if i knew where
Granny Weatherwax was".

Both of them must be ***y good coaches as the Oz selectors don't
seem to rate their players very highly.

In Brisbane, loosening up for a long season.
