Pleassures in store from big shots of Tomorrow

               BIG SHOTS OF TOMORROW

Basit Ali (Pakistan)
Hansie Cronje (RSA)
M. SLater (Australia)
S. Tendulkar (india)
S. Thomson (NZ)
J. Crawley (eng)

Basit is rare among batsmen, as one who made his debut in the WI
- a year ago- and emerged a sucess. This is despite being thought
to be suspect against pace. At 22 he played as if the reputation
of the opposition bowlers had not reached him, giving as good as
he got with both bat and tongue. and averaging 55 while illustrious
colleagues  (including his mentor Javed Miandad ) struggled to
reach 30. More recently NZ spectators were entertained by a batsman
who. though not tall stands upright and imperiously with a hint of
the outwardly casual manner of Majid Khan. He is said to to mix
astonishing shots and sudden lapses, yet in 10 innings over these
two series he had only made two scores  below 25.

Hansie Cronje to follow tomorrow

taken from Sunday Observer without permission .

Could someone e-mail me the final scorecard please. I seem to
have overlooked some past postings.

Thanks.
