Langer for ODI team

Well, hes in the best form of his life and he is scoring quickly. Australia
also needs another Batsman as Ponting is Australia's only inform batsman at
the moment, and with four alrounders (Gilchrist, Symonds, Lee, Martyn) and
Mark Waugh out of form, we need another batsman incase we have the batting
collapses that we have had in the past 2 out of 3 games. So i would say give
Mark Waugh the rest he needs (he has been saying that he has played too much
cricket over the past 12 months) and promote Ponting to open the batting.
Batting order:
Gilchrist
Ponting
Langer
Bevan
S. Waugh
Symonds
Martyn
S. Lee
Fleming
B. Lee
McGrath

Either Langer or Ponting to open.
It has to now happen. I'd say one more game for
M Waugh and if he fails to get a big score then
he simply has to make way for Langer who's in
the best form of just about anyone.

Langer in his last 6 innings has scored just over 700
runs.

223 in the test, 84 not out in a MM, 144
for his club side, 146 for WA as a opener against SA, and now
120.

Aus used to pick the best XI who ever they were.
The selectors I think have been hoping M Waugh
would come out of it but he hasn't so it's now time to
say goodbye to M waugh in the odi's.

Agreed with the rest of the batting order.

I think they'll drop S Lee for Warne when he's fit again.

I only hope the selectors now bite the bullet and drop
M Waugh. It will be tough on the selectors but I think
they'll drop M Waugh as Langer is in to good a form
to be left out of the side.
