Refinish metal wood

Post by Brian Shepar » Sun, 13 Jan 2002 07:22:32

Anyone have any tips on refinishing a metal driver. I have 3 wood with
silver finish like a Callaway that is wearing thin in several spots. I
want to make it look nice again but don't know what kind of paint or
primer to use. If anyone has any suggestions for brand of canned spray
paint let me know. I want to make it match my 975 driver if possible.

Thanks, Brian

Let me know if you get any ideas offline. I want to refinish a metal putter.
I'd appreciate it.

Brian:
You need to sandblast and refill the imperfections . Spray primer and paint
will make it look good but not very durable .I refinish a lot of clubs and
send them out for hot powder coating as that is what is used in the
industry.

Thanks for the advise John. What does a real refinish job cost?
