To Frosty:
Should you consider Rockets, you may want to note that True Temper also
offers a RR (double-R) flex that's more flexible than their R-flex shafts. I
have a set of Dynacraft Copperheads shafted with the R-flex Rockets (with
Sensicore). My clubmaker, though, seems to waver equally between those and
Rifles, depending on when you ask. I don't think you can go wrong with
Rockets, BUT you may get a more "lively" feel with Rifles. YMMV, and I've
never tried Rifles, but I remember the distinct feeling of shanking an iron
with the Apollo Ballistik (ow ow ow ow ow ow) in my pure beginner days.
On a side note, I was browsing through a clubmaking shop, and saw KC Norman
Grind irons (3-PW) shafted with Rifles for sale (consignment?). Clubmaker
there said once the Normans are shafted with Rifles, that's it. You've past a
point of no return with those Rifles. Thoughts?
