So where did you get the idea that supposedly thought it was eight notes?

That is precisely what you said:

"The human ear can hear from the range from 20 hz to 20,000 hz.  Middle
C is exactly in the center."

Quote:

> >And what do you even mean by the rest of your nonsense in that paragraph?

"If you were going to put the center of human hearing on a piano or a
musical instrument you would start at A.  Middle C just happens to be
there when the piano was invented."

That text. Ignoring that you can't keep your tenses straight, what do
you claim you meant by that text?

It comes from the Latin word, Octo, meaning eight.  Such as in
octagon.  Everybody knows this.  Except you.

I sure did.....flushed  a Bert.

Making asinine statements like above while doing exactly what you're
questioning is really stupid.  You're so lonely that you just have to
find a way to  get involved.....even if it makes you look like a fool.

You're as pitiful as ***bath.

Failure to answer the question:

Where did you get the idea that I thought "it's eight notes."?

BTW, you're are so utterly predictable when you snip to try and pretend
previous parts of a discussion haven't taken place.

Mr. Knight has two degrees in music and played professionally for 45
years. I am confident he knows what harmonics are. Meanwhile, you're an

IMO he isn't a troll, but really someone who actually thinks that he
is conversant in areas in which he's less than knowledgeable.  Doesn't
bother me in most issues, but throwing out misinformation on some
things is a drag to me.  This one in particular.  I'll let others nail
him on the others...as they often do.

Nope. I am playing poker Friday night and playing bridge on Saturday
night. I will be playing golf on Sunday afternoon with the boys.

Life is pretty damn good.

I don't have to write screeds about other posters, to fill my last days,
like you do.

I  know what I'm talking about.  A lot of what you hear is effects.
Let me give you a well known example.

A train is coming toward you and the conductor is blowing the whistle.
As it passes by the whistle appears to change pitch and go lower.
That's the well known Doppler Effect.  The whistle never changes
pitch, it just seems to.

This signature is now the ultimate
power in the universe

That's a great point right there.  For example, we know what an intelligent
person sounds like when he posts to RSG.  Now take that person, shove his
head up his own ass and hand him a keyboard.

That's the well known Horvath Effect.
