President's cup last round -Vijay/Ernie vs Tiger

Anyone know whose performance was better ...in the last round of the
President's Cup.......Vijay Singh or Tiger Woods?  I remember reading
Vijay Singh made 7 birdies defeating Toms.

Also in my opinion the Internationals would have been better served
playing Vijay against Tiger Woods for the playoff for two reasons:

1. Vijay is higher ranked than Ernie
2. Ernie lost badly to Tiger earlier

Anyone know who has a better record in playoffs against Tiger,  Vijay
or Ernie?

We know they played Ernie because that would have been better for
South African TV ratings......but that is diminishing the importance
of winning.......just like the stupid agreement of  sharing the cup...

In the event of a tie either the highest ranked player of each team
should play the other,  or the player with the best performance in the
cup from each team should play the other. In  the latter case (Perry
vs Els) as well as Vijay vs Tiger, the Internationals would probably
have won.

Logically, I believe you're absolutely correct. It should have been Vijay
playing Tiger. However, I really believe the world wanted to see Woods vs.
Els. I know I did. Vijay just does absolutely nothing for me as a fan, and
less as a person.

Ernie had a better record than Vijay prior to the singles round, which was
when the names were selected and sealed in an envelope for the playoff.

Given Els' perfect record and home course knowledge, he was the most logical
choice.

Remember that based on Tigers performance on the Saturday he was not
the obvious choice.
