Ping Zing Maple Woods... Too hard to hit??

Any thoughts on Ping Zing Maple Woods 1, 3, and 5 with steel shafts.  Are
they as hard to hit as Persimmon? What about distance and shot shaping
ability, my handicap is 13.

I own the 1-3-5-7 Ping Zing Maple with Aldila 201 Graphite shafts. I really
couldn't hit the steel worth a damn. I never have liked any of the steel
shafts Ping has used.

Shape beautifully, hit easily. Make sure the 1 (black number) is 10
degrees, the 9 degree (green number) is tough to control. I know a few
folks who hit the 12 degree driver marvelously also (red number).

driver with a great big beartha but find the others as long and easy to
hit as any I have tried. The driver I still use on windy days in the
fairway on par-5's. If you want to buy and try start with the 3-wood
it's very long and accurate from the tee and the fairway.
