Refinishing persimmon woods

Refinishing persimmon woods

Post by Lloyd Parson » Thu, 04 Sep 2003 00:19:40

I have the 3-4-5 Macgregor WDX2 persimmon woods that I like to play,
but they need refinishing and the hosel nylon wrap needs to be redone
on one of them.

Are there any books or a website I might look at that would give some
kind of instructions on how to do this?  Or a refinisher that does real
wood woods?

I like these woods down on the fairway because I can hit them with at
least some consistency.  The bigger headed woods just give me fits!

thanks
Lloyd

Lloyd,

Try this place ... http://www.golf-country.com/Refinish_Club_Page.htm

I've never used them, but my dad did for his trusty 5 wood, and he LOVED the
quality.

Thanks for the link.  The pricing seems fair by todays standards, even
though the refinishing will cost more for one club than I paid for the
3 clubs! <G>

I'll keep the link for when the weather changes enough so I can't play.

Did he say how long the turnaround was?
