Tiger Woods --- Why don't they know what's going on????

In his post-victory press conference Sunday, Tiger Woods said that he
looked for the leader boards every chance he got, but many holes either
didn't have them or he couldn't see them well enough, so that he was mostly
unaware of what Els and the other players were doing.  Why should this be?
For 50 bucks, you can get a battery-powered TV from Radio Shack, and with
his dough, he could hire a guy to follow him in a helicopter with a
satellite dish. Is there some rule that prohibits him from having somebody
in the gallery watch the coverage on TV and tell him what's happening?  I
can see the logic in such a rule --- they may want a golfer to play the
course and not the opponent.  However, that logic is contradicted by the
fact that they do have leaderboards on several holes, not to mention that
they try to pair the leaders for head-to-head competition.  So what's the
deal?
