X-12 vs x-12 pro lofts

Post by rds » Wed, 07 Jun 2000 04:00:00

I read on some website that was selling x-12 pro version that the PW was
47.5 deg. I know I read in this group that the regular x-12 PW is strong,
46.5 deg. Can anyone confirm if the lofts on the pro series are different
than the regular x-12s? i'm considering buying a used set of x-12s and I
think I would prefer the weaker PW to match my tour series wedges.

X-12 vs x-12 pro lofts

The lofts on the X12s and the X12 Pro Series irons are the same, except for
the wedges.  The reason?  On the original X12s, there are FOUR wedges
available in the set -- the pitching, approach, sand and lob wedges.  But in
the Pro Series irons, there are only three wedges available (no approach
wedge).  So they adjusted the lofts on the wedges to make them incremental.

Couldn't tell you the exact lofts though.

I believe they are the same as in X-14, so strong down to 5i then
"standard". See below -I can't remember who posted this but it's a
direct copy from the group.
