Whatever did Seles or even Sampras do to be in this list?

Dumb, arrogant, self-pitying (Seles), cheap (Sampras)

Evert and Navratilova don't belong there. They both were very popular as
players, did their stints serving the WTA, and won numerous sportsmanship polls.
Your including them is your own delusion.

And Sampras, though somewhat a smartass in person, is a friendly smartass. About
the only thing often held against him was the crack about Rafter.  8;)

Having seen Pete many times in person at close range, I can tell you he
is not a "friendly" person. He did everything he could to avoid contact
with fans and had an unpleasant manner, to put it mildly.

But there's no way not to respect Pete's incredible game, mental
fortitude and will to win. I always disliked him intensely as a human
being, but you gotta admire that game. Ditto with *** Connors.

STFU Calimoron.  Seles and Sampras were total class while your Graf was
totally a classless b*tch with zero social skills. How many aliases do
you have?  Obviously your other alias was the originator this thread.

Navratilova was a whiny *** even on court. And Evert was totally
classless when she mentioned Graf benefiting from Seles in a Graf's
tribute program.

Agreed about Evert. She is a bit of a hypocrite, imo.

excerpts from the Gimelblog:
http://SportToday.org/

When my phone rang last week, there was a familiar voice on the other
end. That old sarcastic, condescending tone instantly revealed the
identity of the great Pete Sampras. After catching up, he invited me to
come and practice with him.
--snipping some portions--------
Contrary to public perception, Sampras is not the shy, reticent
champion he is depicted as. A certain amount of confidence and
self-assurance is needed in order to become the best in the world at
what you do, and Sampras is no exception. I think that's why he always
enjoyed practicing with me: I'm a big target, both literally and
figuratively.

Never one to shy away from a confrontation, Sampras always took great
pleasure in pointing out the obvious disparities in our career
accomplishments. This fact was never more evident than when he walked
me through his trophy room on the way to his private tennis court. If
the old adage holds true that "beauty is in the eye of the beholder," I
must admit, catching a glimpse of those seven Wimbledon trophies
side-by-side was one of the most beautiful things I have even seen.

I met Sampras once. He is neither nice, neither not nice. Very
introverted person.

Quote:
> Mcenroe

That guy is at least very self-ironic. This make him sympathic to me.

Have you ever met Becker? He is a really nice person in real life!
Put rather Haas in there;o) Even I have no problems with his arrogance.
Or KNIEFER!

Ashe why? Because he did because of AIDS? Does this make him a nice
person automatically? I would guess you know shit about him.

I am sure, Lendl has a quite difficult character, so has Borg!

Too nice for my taste! The same with Federer. People who are too nice
have always the suspicion of being hypocrites.

I would never care about her character! LoL

I was speaking concerning among the players, not with fans.
