Just as I said: even the British press recognizes that where it truly
matters, Del Potro > Murray.

Not at all. Indeed the article mentions the "surprise" that a first-
time slam winner of the USO this year turned-out to be someone other
than Murray.

It also rounds off with "Murray champing at the bit to break his grand
slam duck." which the author seems to think should probably happen
next year.

I no way does the article say DP is > Murray.

we can all have our opinions about who is better, but DP has the USO
trophy and Murray doesn't.

Right! Only that Murray has to win a slam to reach del Potro's level.
Not the same thing as del Potro > Murray. Just that Murray < del Potro!

Yes, but JMDP has the US trophy which was by divine right, Murray's.

Brits customarily fall short, thus hardly a surprise the Mug couldn't
meet those tabloid-ish expectations.

Murray kept boasting how he was going to crash the Rafa and Roger
party.
He's overhyped, a pusher, and a bad sportsman on the court

It's a Brit tabloid & they want to sell a couple of copies.

So if Murray goes on winning only best-of-3 tournaments
throughout his career and keeps tripping at the Slams,
would you say JMDP > Murray?

The guardian is not a tabloid, it's a broadsheet.

& Murray will win more slams in his career than del potro, by the time
both careers are over, I guarentee it.
