Too bad he didn't win it. May be he should start play more on clay.

That's ok. It's just a warm up for his 8 grand slams wins yet to come.

Good fight from both players; altitude helped Roddick.

I hoped Roddick would win it, so the fifth *** (Querrey vs Ferrer)
would be a live one.

Kudos to Ferrer; Nadal probably closes it out now.  It would be the
upset of the year if he doesn't -- yes, I think a bigger upset than
Tsonga-Nadal at AO, considering the surface.

Match Durations

Nadal-Querrey  - 4 sets - 3:17
Ferrer-Roddick - 5 sets - 3:17
Doubles B+F-V+L- 5 sets - 3:16

Looks as if there a bonus for going over 3:15.

Nadal has had a couple more days to adjust. So he will be a lot tougher
against Roddick. Maybe the DC format with the coaching and team
atmosphere will allow Roddick to play well enough to keep it close.

Perhaps this is the beginning of Roddick's multiple FO titles that
someone once predicted in a fit of anger over a Wimbledon Sampras-beater
winning his first Slam.
