Croatia will still lose the tie so Ljubicic's arrogant grandstanding was
rather premature.

And Baghdatis is #3, the race is pretty meaningless this early on in the
season.

Isn't that the second time in a week that Ljubicic has beaten
Nalbandian easily?

If he's not the second best in the world, he certainly looks like the
third best at the moment ...

That sums it up right there - a guy who is a zero factor in slams is
no.2 in current era.....

Not Fed's fault, but *** me...

a journeymen...or a Ljubo type?

somehow i think it will be really shitty if he makes it to no2..
then one day both he and ivanisevic will be regarded as the players who
reched no2 in the world.

goran has sampras ahead..so it's ok he failed to reach no1.
and ivan had federer.

in fact..the margin between them is huge.
personally, i have nothing against him, but since i think of myself as a
"proper" fan, i really dislike the idea of someone like him reaching no2.
at least...until he shows some GS potential.

But ok..sampras made it to no1 prior winning a slam in 93...(even though he
did it in 90).
this year is a first year for ljubicic that he is playing on top level, and
there won't be any davis cup to preoccupe him any more.
who knows...he still has some few years ahead...and so far he equalled
goran's best (QF) at AO.
still..clay and grass are not something i expect him to prosper on..
