Paradorn needed to win that match against Roger

Srichaphan was so close to taking Federer out at Basle.   Too bad he
lost.  He has a great game and he is an amazing athlete.  A win against
Federer might have given him the confidence to start winning big.

It doesn't look like he enjoys playing as he did a few years back.

If you take a look at http://tinyurl.com/y7sajv, it becomes apparent
he's lacking consistency, especially when compared to say 2004.
Yesterday's gameplay was really excellent, but he just can't keep it up
this season, it appears. Maybe he has a lot of exhausting sex; having a
girlfriend-manager instead of a regular girlfriend sure is helping
Federer a lot. :)

It depends on what he focuses on. He could just as easily take this as
an example of the very high quality of play he is capable of. Hasn't he
been having improved results in the 2nd half of the year?

Oh yes, forgot about that. Maybe he lacks the agression to bring his
opponents down? :)

Google, slayer of myth and rumour

http://buddhistchannel.tv/index.php?id=9,2179,0,0,1,0

""
Asia's top tennis player spent time as a Buddhist monk last month. He
adopted the Buddhist name Mahaviro, meaning "great and brave," for his
seven days in a temple outside Bangkok. His head was shaved in a
traditional ceremony before donning the monk's saffron-colored robes.
...
It is customary for Thai men to serve as a monk for at least one period in
their lives as a way of showing religious devotion. ""

not interested in his sex life. Judging by his recent tangle with Fed, I'd
say his Buddhist devotion isn't hurting- I saw a quote where he attributed
greater focus to his meditation....

http://flingk.com/bk4vqco

"And what to get better is practice, so I do a lot of practice of
meditation before I'm going to bed. That is really helping me to focus in
the game that I want to. But it doesn't mean if you have good focus you
win all the time, because you have to be aggressive sometimes."

easy to see why this guy's popular around the globe IMO

I agree. His straightforward bash-a-winner game is also quite amusing
when he's on like yesterday vs. Federer.
