Odds for Seles Winning FO 93 *and* AO 94 Without Poking: Only 5.3 %!

Rabid Selesians (FAN, Jaros, Women's Tennis) often suggest that Monica
Seles most probably would have won FO 93 and AO 94 if it weren't fot
the "Seles Stabbing" in Hamburg in April 1993.

Let's analyse this suggestion with a scientific approach (better than
gut feelings).

Post-WW2 it has happened 13 times that a woman player won 3
back-to-back slams at the same slam (not counting Seles at AO 91-93 and
FO 90-92). Only 3 times this player managed to add a forth consecutive
win at the same slam to her streak. 10 times she failed (lost etc.).
A 23.1 % success percentage only (0.231 probability).

To beat those odds on TWO occasions (what Selesians suggest for Seles
for FO 93 & AO 94) would mean multiplying the percentages:
0.231 x 0.231 =0.053.
5.31 %.

So the odds for Seles were only 1 out of 20 to win FO 93 AND AO 94.

I hope it's settled now ......

capriati for sure (when they aren't injured, etc.. ahead of davenport
on clay). she'd be behind shrap on grass as well.

You are the biggest idiot I've ever seen.
Not to mention that you are also a mad nacionalist with that ***"US can't
stand german Graf is goat".
Moron. You consider yourself to be a fan of cosmopolit and multicultural,
global sport such as tennis and yet you think in such categories?

If only Parche knew Seles had only 5% of winning RG he probably wouldn't
stab her...

Second ranked Steffi Graf went from a 1-8 record in Grand Slams for the
better part of the early 90's, as Seles went 7-8, and then, after the
stabbing, IMMEDIATELY won four consecutive Grand Slams, eventually six
of seven .....it was a total reversal of fortune for #2 Steffi Graf,
and everybody knows it.....

Is this is mere coincidence???... that Second ranked Graf went from
winning one Grand slam in three years to winning four consecutive in
one year happens to be totally unrelated to the stabbing of World
Number One Monica Seles????

Graf's career, and her INFLATED "lifetime career stats" that the Graf
fanatics keep on harping about, were tremendously aided by the stabbing
of the #1 Monica Seles.

You are the most stupid dumbo Calimero psycho.....

1991 US Open--Seles
1991 WTA TOUR CHAMPIONSHIPS--Seles
1992 AUSTRALIAN OPEN--Seles
1992 FRENCH OPEN--Seles
1992 WIMBLEDON--Graf
1992 US OPEN--Seles
1992 WTA TOUR CHAMPIONSHIPS--Seles
1993 AUSTRALIAN OPEN--Seles

Monica Seles won 7 of 8 of the BIGGEST CONSECUTIVE EVENTS in women's
tennis she entered before the stabbing.

While Steffi Garf only managed to win an embarrassing 1 of 8 of the
BIGGEST CONSECUTIVE EVENTS she entered before the stabbing.

Then Gunther Parche came to the rescue and soon second fiddle Gtaf went
on to win 4 consecutive major events right after.

Again, Is this is mere coincidence???... that Second ranked Graf went
from winning one Grand slam in three years to winning four consecutive
in one year happens to be totally unrelated to the stabbing of World
Number One Monica Seles????

Graf's career, and her INFLATED and BLOATED "lifetime career stats"
that the Graf fanatics keep on harping about, were tremendously aided
by the stabbing of the #1 Monica Seles.

1999 Roland Garros,

Chris Evert: "[Monica] then really got cheated out of a lot of Grand
Slams. She was really dominating women's tennis, dominating Steffi
Graf. As I said before, she won seven out of eight Grand Slams and then
got stabbed and was out for 27 months. Her assailant got his wish, that
Steffi Graf be Number One, and sure enough, Steffi regained the Number
One position when Monica was out of the game. So he got his wish."

Dick Enberg: "Who knows how many titles she would own had she remained
in full health?"

Chris Evert: "Well, a lot more than nine Grand Slams, I'll tell you
that. That's so not fair, when you look at Steffi's 21 (22) and
Monica's nine, it's very unbalanced, and it shouldn't be."
