Video McEnroe vs. Connors '84 US Open

Made a rather too large "highlight" clip of one of my favorite matches ever.
McEnroe d. Connors '84 US Open Semi.
I didn't recored it but someone out there did ...it is obviously made from
an old VHS and converted to DVD.  The quality is bad but it is watchable for
any interested.
I was never a Connors fan but he gave a peak McEnroe all he could handle and
showed as much fight as I've ever seen...when on paper he should barely have
been in the match at all.
Miserable SOB's both of them but great tennis nevertheless...

Complete match here:

hope it works...never know with Megaupload.

I always considered Mac and Connors greater champions than Sampras.
They were great fighters.
But they are lesser than Borg, Lendl and Federer.

Nice highlights. (Too bad it'd take around 5 days to download the whole
match, because of megaupload download limits).

Of course Connors fought well, he was not a ***ing ***. Imagine,
there was a time when they actually had interesting matches at GS finals.

Anyways, thanks dude.

This wasn't a final according to the post (don't remember straight
away what was the USO final 84). And you don't think for example
Wimbledon final this year was interesting?

Lendl of course. He had 8 straight finals.

Ok, of course. It seems they even had interesting semis back then...

Yeah, this year Wimbledon was exciting, perhaps even interesting. Result
was boring though...As GS results have been for some time now.

lol :)  Don't care much for results as long as we see exciting
matches. And it is interesting to see such *** in our tennis-
following years.

Thanks. Haven't seen much of USO from that era. Interesting match.

Yes. "Interesting match but boring result"  :-)  I don't know how
McEnroe 1984 beating Connors is different.

Why plural. It was the only exciting gs final this year.

Connors had won USO previous 2 years. So, very different.

makes you wonder if peak Mac is being pushed to limit by 32 year old who
would soon go on four year title drought ...

must have been soft era ...
