Henman d. Philippoussis in 3.

Does anybody actually like Henman?

It's been a great week for him as we near the AO.

And why not?
Despite having had to put up with the British tabloids for close to a decade, he
has maintained a stable level-headed personality, perceived as dull by some
maybe, but I would think he is rather likable. It's his countrymen around the
court at Wimbledon who are truly annoying at times.

Mentally, he was, making stupid double-faults on important points but he was
devastating at times and Henman had to play a wonderfully sharp and alert
match to beat him. Both are chances to win the Open.

Flipper has a better chance than Henman, but he's too rusty...

Clinton vs. Monica... no contest, Monica blows him away.

Agassi Old vs. Agassi New... Agassi Young beats Agassi Father.  Take it from
me, the general level of play a few years back was better in the men's game.

Chang Old vs. Hewitt Present... Young Michael was a force, Hewitt is as well;
this would be an interesting match up.

Lendl vs. Kurten... Who cares? If they played a match at Forest Hills and
nobody came, would we still here Lendl whine?

Considered that, but Sampras too powerful...

Interesting....

Lendl actually beat Agassi easily twice at the US.  Lendl (8 US finals) v
Sampras (7 finals)  would be far more interesting....

Rios?  Nice joke.....

This final took place when Kuerten won his first RG (was it in 97?),
Of course that was not the Bruguera of 93 or 94, but still. I don't
remember the score of the match.

Kuerten 6-3 6-4 6-2, in a very loud yellow ensemble.
