If he is I would like to see him against Nadal..

Not that I expect him to win but as I recall he must be one of the few
guys with a winning had 2 head..

Two RG QF's ain't half bad. I actually find it interesting to see how Hewitt
works a clay court. He's beaten Kuerten, Moya and Gaudio on clay before, so
he's not a totally washup.

I think Hewitt's just backing away from the surface because he knows his
slam opportunities are becoming slim and he knows he's much more likely to
win W or USO if he wins again.

Gaudio pissed all over him last time - it was bordering on
disrespectul. With such little clay match practice, hewitt would be a
fool to bother with FO.........

I agree, but it's a chance for some points and to get back into a slam
atmosphere before Wimbledon.

If RG was the last slam of the year, I doubt Hewitt or even Roddick would
bother too much with it.

I actually think FO is great prep for Wimbledon as long as you don't go
too far past Q/F - you hit enough balls to really groove your groundies
& have match conditions....

Hewitt should play with that in mind....

on clay, in his present form, hewitt couldn't win 6-7 games in 3 sets VS
nadal.

Unfortunate Sampras didn't see it that way, in your opinion anyway. :)
