Agassi wins 10-8 in the 5th!

Never had so much fun listening to Radio Wimbledon.

Congrats to both guys on a tremendous match!

After following the scoreboard, it looked like Martin should have won
this one. Correct?

Martin was up 5-2, and had 2 match points at one time.  He should have won.

Maybe Martin had a flashback to that 1996 semifinal...

Martin was up a break late in the 5th set, and in general seemed to be
holding serve more easily than Andre - right up until Andre won it at 9-8.
So yes, i'd say that's correct...

Hops, i got the opposite impression... they seemed to be favoring Todd to
me. Anyway, i was rooting for Andre, but felt awfully bad for Todd. He's a
great guy, and he's had about as many close-but-no-cigar results against the
top players as a guy can have...

Todd was up TWO breaks. Had two match points.

Can't wait to get home tonight and see this match.

Andre and Todd both must have been thinking of the Martin/Washington match.

I saw the one or two sentences they showed of the Martin
post-match interview, something like, ~I am actually very
pleased just to have had the chance to win ...  but Life goes
on.~  (Don't quote me on this, LeeAnn)

I hate to say it about Todd, but I started thinking about BJK
saying, "Show me a good loser and I'll show you a loser."
Handling a loss with dignity is one thing, but you have to
hate to lose to be a champion.  How can you be pleased to
have lost from 5-2 against a guy who was handing you double
faults?

Well, it probably IS less difficult to take if his name is Agassi and
not John Doe.

Yeah. He was up two breaks and and two match points on own serve.
Then Agassi hit some great returns and Martin collapsed completely.

I never saw someone shocking like this!
