Played ok 1st 2 sets, but his slice is very poor.  Sits up, mid court
with nothing on it - Rafa will kill that.  His fh is off too.

We shall see, assuming Rafa can make it there again...

Maybe Djokovic's 1R was more convincing for some people ... but is that
the point?

Get through the early rounds with as little expenditure of physical and
mental energy as possible. That should be the goal of anyone with eyes
on the title.

Court isn't taking slice very well.  Sure, a heavily knifed slice
still stays pretty low, but that's true of clay too.

So you admit that FED-E has a cakewalk to the final now.

You sound like you hope he will go out - unusual for a Federer fan ...

He should watch tapes of Graf's slice on grass - really needs to hit
through it.

I'm looking ahead to potential Rafa final - that kind of play will not
cut it.

Sweet Whispykins, you have failed to be convinced by five years of the
most overwhelming *** the game has ever know. What led you to
believe that it could be done in three meager sets?

That, plus the usual mistake of applying transitivity
to tennis: "Fed didn't play that well against x, so he
can't beat y who is much better than x".
It's difficult to get the concept of matchup
    problems inside his skull.
If tennis transitivity held true, then Korda,
Krajicek, Yzaga etc should have been #1
because they had the number of the then #1.

Point is that during those days, even a half decently knifed slice
shot stayed pretty low.  If you expect someone to really knife it hard
to get decent returns, then to me that means the grass isn't taking
slice well.

the only purpose to graf's slice was to keep her in the rally so she
could bunny-hop round to her forehand

Then no worries, Whispy. Why complain about it?

Federer is a clown. Nadal will join Roddick now as a 3-time Wimbledon
winner. Believe all Whisper's predictions.
