From: the United States Eastern Region Table Tennis League
and The NYTT League

September 30, 2003

Dear Friends,

We are a growing network of Leagues and this letter is to inform you
that the second season is about to begin.  The New York Table Tennis
League (NYTTL) and the United States Eastern Region Table Tennis
League (USERTTL) have combined to continue the Development process of
table tennis by expanding and promoting the sport throughout the
entire North East Region.

The USERTTL in conjunction with the NYTTL recognize the need for a
well organized and well structured Table Tennis Program that would
produce and create increased participation and  activity for your
playing pleasure as well as the Development of your playing skills.

The Format that will be used for the second season which will begin
October 25, 2003 will be as follows:

The best of seven (7) team matches in accordance with the ITTF
Regulations
(six singles and one doubles) are as follows:  
(1).. A vs Y (2).. B vs X (3).. C vs Z (4).. Doubles.. (5).. A vs X
(6).. C vs Y (7).. B vs Z

The first Team to win four (4) matches wins the Tie (Team vs Team).

VENUES: to be used will be:  

Brooklyn T.T. Club
Westfield T.T. Club
New York T.T. Club
Champion T.T. Club
Manhattan T.T. Club
Port Washington T.T. Club

Competition will be rotated among these facilities so as to
accommodate players living in close proximity to each location.

Teams will consist of 3 players minimum and 5 players maximum.

The seeding for each team will be determined based on the average
rating of their top three(3) players using USATT Rating.
A club may submit as many Teams as capable of.    

Entry Forms are now available and can be obtained by contacting George
Brathwaite and/or Robert Chen.  Forms would also be posted in all
Clubs.

Entry Fees for each Team for the entire season is only $75.

The League shall be structured so as to accommodate four divisions as
follows:

*  The PREMIER DIVISION:  average rating 2250  and higher
*  The ELITE DIVISION:  average rating 2000 to 2249
*  The STAR DIVISION:  average rating 1750 to 1999
*  The CHALLENGE DIVISION:  average rating 1749 and lower

There will be monetary and other awards for all divisions as follows:

Premier Division:....Winner $1000 plus Trophy
                            Runner-up $500  plus Trophy
Elite Division:......Winner $800  plus Trophy
                            Runner-up $400  plus Trophy
Star Division:.......Winner $500  plus Trophy
                            Runner-up $250  plus Trophy
Challenge Division:..Winner $250  plus Trophy
                            Runner-up $125  plus Trophy    

IN ADDITION: to the League competition, an individual championship for
those players who participated in the Program will be held to bring
the season to a close.  Following this event would be the presentation
of awards.

INCENTIVE:  To be promoted and to advance to the next higher division
for the next season, a team must win or be runner-up in its
Division.  The last two teams in each Division would be placed in the
next lower Division.

DEADLINE:  The deadline for submitting Entries will be October 17,
2003 postmarked.

All Team matches will be time scheduled and all Captains of Teams
notified accordingly.  Competition begins October 25, 2003.

It is expected that all Teams would be uniformly attired.  All Team
Captains are asked to respect this request (at least with shirts).
