9 years ago 20 year-old Marat Safin beat in the final definitely the
best player from the 90's Pete Sampras, now 20 year-old Del Potro beat
definitely the best player in 00's - Roger Federer... btw both Safin
and Del Potro were seeded with No. 6.

Let's hope dP doesn't follow Safin's script too closely.

personally, i liked safin's script. he had a healthy disregard for the
rigors and discipline of pro tennis, liked to bring floozies and
***s to his matches, and even admitted to being a flaky head-
case.

he was more fun than the typical tennis robot, and he still ended up
being a champion.

Safin was the ATP's Bender. "Ah, *** your tour, I'm making my own tennis
tour, with booze and ***s. And, on second thought, never mind the tennis,
just bring the booze and ***s".
