Dominating fast hard courts and clay - the two major surfaces

French Open = clay
US Open = fast hc

They are the two major surfaces on the tour. If you cannot dominate
them, you are no GOAT.

These are the man and women who have won both FO and USO twice.

Men
-------
Lendl won FO 3 times and US Open 3 times both minimum 3 times a record
for men !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Women
----------
Evert won FO 7 times and US Open on fast hard courts 3 times
Navratilova won FO 2 times and US Open 4 times
Graf won FO 7 times and US Open 5 times.... both minimum 5 times a
record!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Seles won FO 3 times and US Open 2 times

No one else has done it. So this is so ***ing difficult, isn't it?
Agassi won FO once (and also won USO), Wilander won USO once (and also
FO) and Serena won FO once (and also USO)

Neither Nadal or Federer have done it yet. Nor have Venus Williams or
Sharapova.

Raja, let me ask you something. You cited Rotten Tomatoes a while ago
as some sort of proof that
Revolutionary Road probably isn't that great of a movie. Why? Because
the *critics* as a whole didn't like
it all that much.

Now, what do you think the verdict would be if you asked 50 tennis
writers and historians (the Rotten Tomatoes of tennis) to state
whether or not Lendl is the greatest tennis player of all time? How
many ripe red tomatoes would Lendl get and how many rotten green
splats?

Movies dont have stats to be measured on. They are usually judged from
an artistic/entertainment point of view. Tennis champs are judged on
stats which are tangible. Not a good analogy.

Nice try by the way.

And I wasnt serious about rotten tomatoes.

You've gotta hand it to Raj though ... surely no-one else could come
up with so many different hare-brained ranking schemes purely designed
to come up with Lendl as the GOAT ... full marks for effort ...

lol, I disagree. They are not hare-brained. I am quite intelligent you
know. If you were to meet me, you would know.
