by A week or so ago I brought one of my sails to Windwing for some repair work.
I didn't see it, but a sign on the door said that due to the demand for their
1992 sails, they were unable to take any repair work except for Windwing
sails. So they wouldn't repair my North sail, but that was ok because when I
sat down and looked at what I had done (well, actually a wave and big rock did
all the work) I figured out I could repair it with some sail repair tape
from West Marine Supply and some Windshear sail adhesive.
Most shops already know this, but Sausilito Sailboards did not, so I wasted
a trip to Berkeley. If you see any shop employees you might ask them if they
know about this policy so they can save their customers a drive to the East
Bay.
