Cabrillo accident

This is a follow-up article in the Orange County Register about the Jetski
that was involved in the death of a windsurfer at Cabrillo Beach (Los
Angeles, CA) in September 1999.  The jetski driver will be prosecuted for
manslaughter later this month.

I did not realize that the guy who killed that windsurfer was the
chairman of the jet ski company.  How can we expect jetskiers to drive
responsibly if the company that sells them does not even know how to
operate them safely?

Judging by the article, it doesn't seem like these guys operate anything
responsibly.  And they are supposed to manufacture high-speed jetskis?  And
their marketing agreement is with Costco?

Dan - I suppose I could bookmark the ocregister site and check it every now
and then, but, if you live out there and/or have occasion to follow this
story easily, would you please keep us informed.  I'd like to know about the
trial.  Thanks.
